The 68th annual Raymondville Picnic – featuring games, entertainment and two nights of rodeo action – opened Thursday and continues through Saturday.

Admission and parking are free for the event, which goes from 6:30 to 10:30 each night. The midway will be provided by Big D’s Amusement and the two-night rodeo on Friday and Saturday will be presented by the Ozark Rodeo Association. It will include broncs and bulls, roping, barrels, mutton bustin’ and calf riding.

All three nights will also feature drawings, food, dancing and bingo. Armbands for carnival rides are $15 in advance or $20 on the grounds.

On Friday, Rhubarb Jam takes the stage and the rodeo begins.

The final night will feature Garold McCoy and the South 63 Band as well as the conclusion of the rodeo. There will also be a jig contest.
