Seven members of the Houston softball team were voted onto the all-district team.

Five Lady Tigers – Emily Roberts, Madison Curtis, Shelby Ozier, Jaida Lassiter and MacKenzie Holder –were named to the first team. Kameron Hall and Jaden Stell were selected on the second team.

Roberts, a senior pitcher, was a four-year starter for Houston. She earned 15 wins in 2019 with a 7.49 ERA while striking out 102 and walking 46 in 120 2/3 innings.

Curtis, a senior third baseman led the Lady Tigers with 30 RBIs and seven doubles. She hit .431 with 14 runs and 17 steals.

Ozier, a junior center fielder, batted .485 with 16 RBIs and a team-best 29 runs scored. She ranked second on the team with 33 stolen bases.

Lassiter, a sophomore catcher, ranked second on the team with a .508 batting average. She caught 115 innings and threw out 18 percent of runners attempting to steal.

Holder, a freshman, hit a team-best .522 and led HHS with 35 total hits. She had 15 RBIs, scored 20 runs and stole 19 bases.

Hall, the team’s leadoff hitter, swiped a team-high 44 bases and ranked third among her teammates with 25 runs scored. She hit .413 with six doubles and three triples.

Stell, a sophomore shortstop, hit .291 with a team-high 13 extra-base hits. She scored 28 runs and had 23 steals.
