Barbara J. Poe-Steele, the daughter of Virgil and Elsie (Gale) Poe, was born Aug. 8, 1959, in St. Louis, Mo. She passed away June 27, 2019, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 59.
Barbara was united in marriage to Gary Steele on Jan. 1, 2011.
She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, her dogs, motorcycle riding and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Elsie Poe; and a brother-in-law, D.E. Butch Bay.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Gary of the home in Solo; daughters, Tiffany Carr and her husband, Nick, of Michigan and Lindsey of Solo; three granddaughters, Glenna, Genessa and Novella of Michigan; a brother, Otis Poe of Arcadia, Mo.; sisters, Beverly Bay of Rich Woods, Mo., Debra Poe of High Ridge, Mo., and Mary Ann Poe of Wichita, Kan.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2019, at Bradford Funeral Home, Summersville, with David Moerbe and the Rev. Gary Steelman officiating. Interment was in the Antioch Cemetery at Hartshorn.
