Bobby Harrison Amburn, 51, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019, at his home in Houston.
He was born Jan. 29, 1968, in St. Louis, son of Floyd Amburn and Janet DeWitt Bell.
He grew up in Houston and the surrounding area. He became a barber in 1986 and owned Bob’s Barber Shop in downtown Houston.
He enjoyed fast cars, loud music, art and making others smile. He loved his community and contributing to it.
Survivors include his parents, Janet Bell of Houston and Floyd and Lois Amburn of Raymondville; five siblings, Floyd Maurice Amburn of Labadie, Steven Hall of Kirkwood, Deana Dorscher of Oakland, Iowa, and Dawayne Bell and Angela Fleming of Houston; four children, Jessica Hall, Samantha Wellman, Justin Amburn and Ally Amburn of Lebanon; and five grandchildren.
A celebration of life was Sunday, July 14, at Emmett Kelly Park, Houston. Cremation was under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
