Dallas Eddie Grogan, 77, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at his home in Elk Creek.

He was born May 19, 1942, in Grogan, son of Archie Wilson and Jewell Irene Shelton Grogan.

He completed eight years of schooling at Grogan Grade School and two years at Cabool High School. In 1975, he married Sheila, and they lived in Massachusetts.

He obtained employment at a plastics factory and quickly moved into management positions. For several years prior to retirement, he owned and operated D & S Plastics in Springfield, Mass., and had a partnership in Plastic Resources in West Field, Mass. Following his wife’s death, he returned to Texas County.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sheila; and a sister, Freda Westman.

Survivors include five sisters, Betty French of Western Grove, Ark.; Linda Rennick of Rolla and Lois Ostlund, Glenda Atkisson and Caroline Grogan of Niangua; nine nieces; five nephews; and a special caregiver, Wendy Smith.

Services are noon Friday, July 12, at Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home, Cabool. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Near Home Cemetery, Elk Creek.
