A Bucyrus woman is held in jail after a drug investigation Friday by law enforcement agencies.
Theresa Villarreal, 52, is charged with trafficking drugs, methamphetamine, in excess of 30 grams, unlawful possession of methamphetamine drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child. Assistant Prosecutor Jason MacPherson filed the charges. Bond is set at $250,000.
Texas County Sheriff Scott Lindsey said his office executed a search warrant at a Bucyrus residence on Piney Drive in a multi-agency drug investigation initiated by the Houston Police Department. That led to identifying further criminal activity in rural Texas County.
Lindsey said during the execution of the search warrant several persons were detained and the residence searched. A child was present, he said.
