General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital is set for replacement. 

A Kansas City firm has been awarded a nearly $296 million design-build contract for a new hospital at Fort Leonard Wood.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded JE Dunn Construction Co. of Kansas City the contract.

The site is located within the installation’s main post cantonment area and is bounded by First Street, Nebraska Avenue, North Dakota Avenue and Missouri Avenue. The project will feature a 235,400 square foot hospital, 193,300 square foot clinic, central utility plant, emergency back-up generators, five bay ambulance garage, helipad and supporting facilities.
