Texas County Collector-Treasurer Tammy Cantrell conducted her office’s annual sale that involves taxpayers who have not paid their property taxes.
Cantrell said nine properties were offered for sale on the steps of the Texas County Administrative Center; six of those sold.
The total proceeds from the sale were $17,345.
The owner has one year to redeem the property, she said.
Cantrell said sealed bids will be taken on one Cabool property that hasn’t sold for the last three years. The procedure is outlined under state statute. A public notice will soon be published with the details.
