The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Thomas A. Sawyer, 18, of 16883 Ridge Road in Houston, was issued a citation for careless and imprudent driving on Aug. 3.
•Steven R. Caraveo, 25, of 733 W. Chestnut St. in Houston, was cited for driving while suspended on July 27.
•Shawn A. Jeffers, 23, of 7663 Highway 17 in Houston, was cited on Aug. 1 for failure to register a motor vehicle.
•Gary L. Couchman, 26, of 502 First St. in Houston, was issued a citation for filing a false report on July 20.
An investigating officer reported that Couchman came to the police station and stated a 57-year-old woman had been harassing him and telling people he had been abusing his wife. After making contact with all parties, the officer determined Couchman’s claim wasn’t valid.
•Briane L. Akins, 21, of 8205 Northview Lane, No. 4, in Houston, was issued citations for driving while revoked and speeding on July 20.
•Irley G. Neugebauer, 82, of 6105 Highway 17 in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Walnut Street at about 7:30 a.m. July 22.
•Diane M. Asher, 32, of 17753 Highway B in Houston, was cited for stealing under $750 after allegedly swiping an iPhone 6s that was sitting on the counter of the Houston Post Office on July 11.
•Nadine L. Ballard, 85, of 700 Faye St. in Houston, was cited for failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at about 6:10 p.m. July 27.
•Kimberly N. Coate, 34, of 1404 Cherokee Circle in Houston, was cited on July 20 for failure to register a motor vehicle.
•Keeshaun L. Williams, 30, of 403 N. Grand Ave., No. 2, in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle on July 17.
•Christopher A. Ryerson, 34, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 2, in Houston, was cited on July 19 for driving while suspended.
•Thomas A. Carter, 62, of 205 Chestnut Street in Houston, was cited for driving while revoked on July 19.
