Margaret L. Kiser, 84, of Waynesville, passed away in her home on Aug. 27, 2019. She was born Aug. 31, 1934, to John Paul and Jessie Doris Holmes Hancock at Roubidoux, Mo., in Upton Township.
She graduated from Houston High School in 1952, and married Melvin L. Kiser on June 1, 1952. They were married 24 years. They had four children: Steve, Marsha, Mike and Calvin. They lived in Success, Mo., for several years. She worked at Fort Leonard Wood from 1968 until 1995 as a post exchange supervisor. Her passion was embroidery and making quilts. She helped with the care of her parents after her retirement, and then lived again at the old home place at Roubidoux.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers, Donald and Jerry Hancock; and one son, Calvin L. Kiser.
Margie is survived by children, Steve A. Kiser of Dayton, Tenn., Marsha Kiser of Ecuador, and Michael Kiser of Waynesville; three brothers, Ervin Hancock of Peck, Kan., Ralph Hancock of Beaverton, Ore., and Kenneth Hancock of Frederick, Colo., and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services were Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home with George Peterson and Greg Mynear officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home, Houston.
