A Raymondville man sustained injuries Sunday, Aug. 11, in a crash east of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

A Raymondville man sustained minor injuries early Sunday when his truck struck a horse in the roadway, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Sgt. Dale Pounds said a westbound 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Michael S. Groves, 43, hit the animal on Highway B about five miles east of Houston near Sleepy Hollow. 

Groves, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. His vehicle was totaled.
