A Success man faces a felony assault charge after an incident involving a woman on Aug. 22.
Tyson R. Warner, 37, of 10834 Highway 17 at Success, is charged with second-degree domestic assault (a class D felony).
According to a Texas County Sheriff’s Department deputy’s report, the officer was dispatched regarding a dispute between Warner and the woman. The woman reportedly told the deputy she had told Warner to unchain his dog from the Public Water Supply District building (as she had done several times before), but when she went to move the animal to a tree, Warner became angry and hit her and pushed her into a well house, causing injury to her finger and arm.
The officer reported observing injuries to the finger and arm, but the woman declined medical assistance.
The deputy noted in the report that Warner has a pending criminal case against him for resisting arrest by fleeing, causing substantial risk of serious injury or death to any person. The officer also reported that Warner was recently also issued a citation for trespassing at a Success business when he was armed with a machete, and that he is currently on probation for a felony forgery case in Texas County.
Warner is held in jail with a bond set at $150,000 for the new charge.
