The Houston Area Chamber of Commerce will host a demolition derby on Saturday, Oct. 19, in the arena at the county fairgrounds.
The event will not only include men’s heats, but also feature women’s “powderpuff” competition.
Chamber executive director Angie Quinlan will be in the women’s field, and is having a car outfitted specifically for the event.
“I hope other local women will come out and challenge me,” Quinlan said. “But keep in mind, I’ll be out there to win.”
