Members of the Houston board of education took care of several personnel matters during a Tuesday meeting.

The board:

•Approved an early graduation for Tyler Gross, which is contingent on meeting local and state requirements.

•Accepted the resignation of Don McCallister, head of maintenance. It was effective Sept. 10.

•Employed Jennifer Johnson and Dara Jackson as high school Beta sponsors. They will split the stipend.

•Hired Dawn Sprouse as Missouri Constitution project sponsor for the 2019-2020 school year.

•Named Loran Richardson as head tennis coach for the 2019-2020 school year. Josh McKinney will serve as assistant team coach.

•Hired Kylee Elmore as middle school assistant softball coach for the 2019-2020 school year.

*Employed Rebecca Morgan as a paraprofessional at the Exceptional Child Cooperative for the 2019-2020 school year.
