A Houston teenager was injured Tuesday morning in a crash northwest of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A Houston teenager was injured in a Tuesday morning crash northwest of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Sgt. Dale Pounds said a southbound 2008 Ford Focus driven by Logan K. Pacheco, 18, failed to negotiate a curve on Highway 17 about nine miles from Houston, ran off the roadway and struck a tree.

Pacheco, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital. He had moderate injuries, Pounds said. The vehicle had extensive damage.
