A Missouri man faces a trio of felony charges after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation on Sept. 22 regarding stolen vehicles.
Shannon Brim, 31, of Cabool, is charged with two counts of tampering with a motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm (all class D felonies).
Authorities said  a deputy responded to a Pine Crest Road residence in southeast Texas County regarding a blue GMC truck parked there that was listed as stolen from the Kansas City area.
The deputy was advised by a Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper at the scene that another vehicle at the location was also listed as stolen from Kansas City.
The deputy made contact with Brim and another man inside the house. During the course of investigation, Brim was identified as the suspect in the thefts.
During a search of one of the vehicles, a Remington shotgun was found. Brim was already on probation for a felony stealing charge, so he was restricted from having a gun, authorities said.
Brim was taken to the Texas County Jail with a bond set at $150,000.
