The Ozark Rodeo Association will stage a rodeo at the Raymondville Fairgrounds on Oct. 4 and 5. The two-day family rodeo event will begin at 7 p.m. each night, with gates opening at 5.

Admission is $8, or $4 for kids.

The event is a fundraiser to help get the Ozark Rodeo Association back next June at the annual Raymondville Picnic.

Organizers said that thanks to this fundraiser, a large crowd was able attend the rodeo at the Picnic for free.

There will be a full rodeo each night, including broncs, bulls, roping and barrels. There will also be kids’ mutton bustin’ and calf riding. Food and other vendors will be set up on the grounds.

Anyone who wants to enter an event can call Monday evening at 573-793-3193. For more information, call the Village of Raymondville at 417-457-6281 or Chantil at 417-217-0612.

The Saturday rodeo event will be preceded by a pony pull competition at 2 p.m.

For more information about the pony pull, call Chad Bell at 417-247-8051.
