Erron R. Lacey, 22, of 15422 Highway UU at Solo, is charged with second-degree assault (a class D felony) and second-degree property damage (a misdemeanor) following an attack in Houston.
A Houston Police Department officer reported being dispatched to a residence at about 6 p.m. Sunday regarding an assault that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. near Chestnut Terrace.
A victim told the officer that a car had stopped in front of his residence and three men got out and confronted him. The man said one of the men – Lacey – punched him in the face and continued to assault him after he fell to the ground.
The officer observed injuries to the man’s eye and other parts of his body.
Lacey took the victim’s cell phone, broke it apart and disposed of it along U.S. 63, according to a report.
Lacey was located later in the day and arrested. He is held in the Texas County Jail on unreported bond.
