Firefighters from seven area departments participated last Saturday in an event conducted by the Missouri University Fire and Rescue Training Institute (MUFRTI) in the former GAMO parking lot on U.S. 63 in Houston.
Personnel from the City of Houston and Houston Rural departments were joined in the session by counterparts from Raymondville, Summersville, Birch Tree, Mountain View and West Plains.
City of Houston Fire Chief Robbie Smith said State Farm provided financial assistance to help make MUFRTI education possible.
