A Summersville boy received minor injuries in an accident Saturday afternoon, Oct. 19, on Highway 17 in Summersville, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

A 9-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Summersville.

Tpr. Justice Simpson said a westbound 2016 Chevrolet 2500 truck driven by Carolyn M. Belden-Carson, 49, failed to yield and struck a southbound 2017 Ford F-150 operated by Sheila D. Racicot, 31, of Summersville.

Simpson said the boy, who was not named, was taken by private vehicle to seek treatment for minor injuries. He was a passenger in the Racicot truck.

Both vehicles had minor damage. Belden-Carson was wearing a seatbelt and Racicot was not, he said.
