The Houston Middle School football teams played at Salem Thursday.
In the first game, Houston’s seventh-grade squad lost 36-28.
Javon Ross scored touchdowns for the Tigers on a 21-yard run the second quarter and a 49-yard run in the third quarter. Jordan Arthur ran in the 2-point conversion on the second score.
In the fourth quarter, Arthur had a 2-yard touchdown run and Ross had a 19-yard touchdown run. Arthur also ran for another 2-point conversion.
Houston’s eighth-graders lost 6-0 in a game that was cut short to only one half due to lightning.
The HMS squads wrap up their 2019 seasons with home games Tuesday against Thayer.
