A Houston man sustained injuries Friday, Oct. 25, in a crash north of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

 A Houston man escaped serious injury in an accident early Friday that destroyed about 70 feet of guardrail north of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

John H. Harpole, 55, was driving a southbound 2020 Jeep Latitude that traveled off the right side of U.S. 63, hitting a guardrail.

Harpole, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. 

MoDOT was notified of the damage. The vehicle was totaled.
