The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Christopher Johnson, 32, of 7597 Lone Star Drive in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to obey a police officer after an incident at about 1:10 a.m. Oct. 19.

An officer on patrol on Main Street in the downtown business district observed a man – Johnson – walking on the sidewalk stumble and fall against the window of a business. The officer thought the fall might have been hard enough to break the window or cause injury, so he got out of his patrol car and saw that the window hadn’t broken. The officer noticed that Johnson was drunk, and asked if he was OK, but Johnson became angry and uncooperative, and refused to identify himself.

Another officer arrived at the scene, and Johnson was  eventually detained and taken to jail for a 12-hour hold period.

•Eddie Volner, 22, of 4955 Volner Road at Hartville, was arrested Oct. 21 for having active Wright County warrants for a parole violation and resisting arrest. An officer on patrol at about 7:20 p.m. made the arrest after being approached by Volner and informed by him that he had the warrants.
