The Houston Police Department handled several investigations recently.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

•Karlie Kittrell, 18, of 8115 N. U.S. 63 in Houston, was issued citations for failure to stop at a posted stop sign and driving without a valid license after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 3. An officer made the stop after observing a red Ford Focus turn from Millstone Drive onto U.S. 63 without stopping.

•Jared I. Richardson, 17, of 12500 Bell Road at Roby, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident at U.S. 63 and Thomasville Road at about 9:40 a.m. Oct. 11.

•Allyssa K. Olsen, 21, of 586 Highway 76 at Willow Springs, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Oct. 3.

•Blake J. Webster, 17, of No. 7 Cedar Bluff at Cabool, was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption on Sept. 27.

An officer was dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. regarding a report of a domestic dispute in progress on Main Street in the downtown business district. Upon arrival, the officer was advised the male and female involved had run toward Grand Avenue.

Contact was made with the two as they argued in front of the Office Bar. While speaking to Webster, the officer smelled alcohol on his breath and Webster admitted to drinking some liquor shots. He was taken to jail and released to a family member.

•Chastity N. Cooper, 24, of 330 S. Main St. in Licking, was cited for stealing after allegedly shoplifting at Walmart on Sept. 20.

•Eric P. Branson, 37, of 1130 Dewey St. in Houston, was cited for stealing under $750 after allegedly swiping a Karcher gas power washer valued at $300 from the side porch of an Ozark Street residence on Sept. 25.

An investigating officer observed surveillance video from the residence that showed Branson stealing the unit. An officer went to Branson’s residence and arrested him. He was taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.

•Bobbie M. Crawford, 38, of 424 King St. in Houston, was arrested on Oct. 5 for having an active Texas County warrant for two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

An officer made the arrest after responding at about 6 a.m. to a report of an unnamed guest at a Broadway Street residence and discovering that Crawford was there. She was taken to the Texas County Jail where she posted $25,000 bond and was released.

•William T. Hebert, 33, of 611 Hawthorn St. in Houston, was arrested Sept. 27 for having active Dent County warrants for driving while suspended, failure to register a motor vehicle and no insurance.

An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised that Hebert was there. He was taken to jail where he posted $500 bond and was released.

•Shaun C. Cross, 27, of 18015 Emmett Kelly Road at Houston, was arrested Oct. 11 for having an active probation and parole warrant for being a parole absconder. An officer made the arrest at about 4:12 a.m. in the parking lot at the Corner Express Shell station after an employee there reported seeing Cross in the lot. He was taken to jail after the arrest.

•Skyla L. Dodd, 17, and Anthony R.C. Sawyer, 17, both of 211 S. Grand Ave., No. 108, in Houston, were arrested on Oct. 10 for having active Texas County felony warrants for endangering the welfare of a child involving drugs and abuse or neglect of a child.

An officer who was aware of the warrants made the arrest at the pair’s residence at about 9:50 p.m. They were taken to jail and each held on $150,000 bond.
