The Houston City Council will hold a special work session Thursday, Oct. 17.

The Houston City Council will hold a budget work session Thursday night (tonight) as it works toward a financial plan for 2020.

Scott Avery, Houston city administrator, said Friday he encourages citizens to give their input at the 7 p.m. Oct. 17 meeting at city hall. Avery said he has met with department heads and wants Houston residents to give their input, too.

Under a tentative schedule, the first draft of the budget is expected Nov. 4. A second discussion will occur Nov. 18. Final adoption is expected Dec. 2.
