The Texas County Sheriff's Department responded to several calls recently.

The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A 45-year-old Licking woman reported on Oct. 20 that her 18-year-old daughter’s iPhone 11 valued at $999 had been stolen.

A 21-year old Licking man was named as a suspect. A deputy contacted him and he denied swiping the phone. Investigation continues.

•A 27-year-old Summersville man reported on Oct. 9 that he had caught his best friend sleeping with his wife.

The man told an investigating deputy he told the friend’s wife and now the friend is making threats toward him. He said he didn’t want to pursue charges, but wanted the incident documented.

•A 34-year-old Plato man reported on Sept. 15 that numerous items with a total value of $18,255 had been stolen from his Groves Road residence.

The man told an investigating deputy that the crime had occurred while he and his mother were in prison, and he discovered that things were missing after being released from federal custody. The man named a woman as a suspect, indicating she had been watching the property while he was incarcerated.
