The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Jackson C. Morgan, 42, of 902 Highway 17 in Houston, was issued a citation for first-degree trespassing on Sept. 22 after allegedly entering the Houston Apartments property at 777 W. Highway 17 after previously being banned from the property.
•Ardis F. Morton Jr., 37, of 18279 Highway H at Elk Creek was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a motor vehicle after allegedly letting a 14-year-old boy drive a 2009 Ford Focus in town on Oct. 2.
•Travis D. Hayes, 33, of 8861 Hayes Drive at Houston, and Gary D. Welch, 50, of 10455 Welch Road at Mountain Grove, were each issued citations for peace disturbance by fighting in public after allegedly fighting at the Office Bar on Grand Avenue in downtown Houston at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 21.
•Corey J. Fitzpatrick, 38, of 620 Cleveland Road in Houston, was arrested Oct. 1 for having an active Greene County warrant for second-degree assault.
An officer made the arrest at Fitzpatrick’s residence. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held pending extradition to Greene County.
•A 52-year-old Houston man reported on Oct. 1 that a portable oxygen concentrator valued at $5,200 had been stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at his house. The man told an officer he had been hospitalized in Springfield several days and the theft took place while he was still in care.
•Christopher M. Baker, 45, of 101 Redbud Drive in Houston, was arrested Sept. 30 for having an active City of Licking warrant for no driver’s license and failure to register a motor vehicle.
•Austin M. Sawyer, 17, of 15300 Piney Drive in Bucyrus, was arrested Oct. 2 for having an active City of Houston warrant for stealing and minor in possession of alcohol.
The Houston School District resource officer made the arrest at school. Sawyer was taken to jail, where he was unable to post $250 bond. He was placed on a 48-hour hold and requested his mother be contacted.
•Robin L. Hayes, 54, of 226 Chestnut Terrace in Houston, was arrested Sept. 27 for having an active Texas County warrant for two counts of possession of a controlled substance. She was arrested at her residence and taken to jail, where she posted $250 bond and was released.
