Two persons were injured Thursday, Oct. 17, in an accident south of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Two persons were injured Thursday evening in a two-vehicle crash one mile south of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Tpr Marty Wiseman said a southbound 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Don D. Willson, 62, of Houston, was stopped to turn left when the vehicle was struck in the rear by Amber L. Tharp, 21, of Mountain View. 

Tharp had moderate injuries, and Willson sustained minor injuries. Both went by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. 

The Toyota was totaled, and the truck had extensive damage, Wiseman said. Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Jason Sentman and Houston Rural Fire Department.
