A Cabool man faces a felony assault charge after allegedly assaulting a woman on Nov. 12.
Cory Tate, 27, is charged with felony second-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
A Cabool officer reported that he were dispatched to Tate’s residence at about 11:20 a.m. regarding a woman and a child locking themselves in a bedroom.
The woman reportedly told officers that during an argument between she and Tate, he yelled loudly and made several physical moves against her, pinning her against a wall, shoving her hard and grabbing her hair. The woman stated that the child was standing nearby while the action was going on, and she feared for both of their safety.
Tate was arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail with a bond set at $200,000.
He entered a not guilty plea during a Nov. 14 arraignment. He is to appear Dec. 10 for a preliminary hearing. He has a public defender.
