Dorothy H. Connolly, daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Cloninger) Connolly, was born on May 23, 1954, in Raymondville, Mo. She left the many challenges of this world on Nov. 10, 2019 at Wilson Creek Nursing Home in Springfield, Mo. She will dwell in her heavenly home free of challenges and at peace.
She will join her parents, Frank and Gertrude Connolly and five sisters, Naomi Campbell, Zola Kinworthy, Nell Reece, Dixie Krasky and Peggy Willis as well as many other family members and friends.
Dorothy leaves behind three sisters, Frances (Larry) Pitts, Becky (Terry) Wheatley and Paula (Jim) Mills and two brothers, Larry (Karan) Connolly and Clint Connolly; three brothers-in-law, Bill Reece, Ralph Krasky and Jerry Willis. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive. Dorothy was an important part of their lives as they were growing up.
Dorothy worked at the Texas County Sheltered Workshop for many years. Her latest job was as an assistant mail courier at Wilson Creek.
For many years she found enjoyment doing Word Search puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed watching videos and had an extensive library of videos. She liked chocolate especially Kit Kat candy bars, Honey Buns, Fig Newtons and cheese curls.
The staff at Wilson Creek Nursing Home became a second family to her the last 3 ½ years. There are not enough words to truly express the kindness, love and support these angels gave her. Prior to that she was lovingly cared for by the staff at the Barber House in Mountain Grove. You all are appreciated.

Visitation is 10 – 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home, Houston, with services beginning at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ted Moore and Greg Berglund officiating. Burial is in Allen Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Steve Reece, Jon Pitts, Clint Connolly, Rueben Martin, Jacob Martin and Steve Dabney.
