The Texas County Food Pantry was the benefactor of a significant food windfall on Wednesday of last week.

Food Pantry executive director Katie Mutzebaugh said the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent an 18-wheeler from its headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah, loaded with a donation of 28 pallets of non-perishable foods.

Mutzebaugh said a portion of the bounty would be shared with other locations in Texas County, including senior centers in Houston and Licking.
