The Houston School District will host its 20th annual Veterans Tribute from 1 to 2 p.m. today inside Hiett Gymnasium.
Students will sing and other presentations will occur. The guest speaker will be Houston Police Chief Tim Ceplina, a veteran.
Following the tribute program, a reception (including refreshments) will be in the gym’s north lobby.
All area military veterans are encouraged to attend the event, held in their honor.
Government offices and some businesses will be closed. There will no mail service.
