A Licking man was hurt Friday afternoon after a Missouri Department of Conservation truck was struck by a tractor-trailer truck at Koshkonong, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
The southbound state truck driven by Jerry A. Wofford, 60, of Salem, was slowing to make a right turn into a private approach when a southbound 2012 Freightliner operated by Mohamed K. Kariye, 35, of Minneapolis, struck it. The force shoved the conservation department truck across U.S. 63 and came to rest on the northbound right-of-way of the highway. The Freightliner overturned into a ditch.
A passenger in the conservation truck, William E. Burgdorf, 57, was taken to Ozarks Medical Center at West Plains with minor injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled. Everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
Three state troopers were at the scene.
