A Bucyrus woman was struck and seriously injured Friday night while walking on Highway FF in western Texas County.
Tpr. Mark Ritter said a southbound 2015 GMC 3500 operated by Tracy A. Schafer, 43, of Salem. struck Daleene J. Wade, 59, with the vehicle’s mirror as she was walking northbound on the highway.
Wade was transported by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital and later flown to Cox South in Springfield, where she is in intensive care with several fractures to her skull.
