The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•A deputy was dispatched at about 8:45 p.m. Nov. 11 regarding a report of a domestic dispute at a Highway 17 residence at Houston.

Before arriving, the officer observed a woman who was a suspect in the matter walking along the roadway. The woman, 24, told the deputy she had bitten her 24-year-old husband because he had thrown a ring out into the yard that had been given to her by her boyfriend.

The husband told the officer he didn’t wish to pursue charges. The officer advised the man and woman to separate for the night.

•Christopher R. Giller, 30, of 4137 Highway VV at Licking, was arrested Nov. 6 for having an active Texas County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to jail and held without bond on the capias warrant.

•A 53-year-old Willow Springs man reported on Nov. 6 that several items with a total value of $597 had been stolen from his Arroll Road residence. There are no suspects.

•A 75-year-old Willow Springs man reported on Nov.12 that a Stihl chainsaw and multiple other items with a total value of $647 had been stolen from his Highway Y residence.
