Three persons were injured Monday on slick roads in Texas County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.
A Yukon woman and an infant were injured at about 5:45 p.m. when their eastbound 2003 GMC Yukon traveled off of the left side of the Highway B, struck an embankment and overturned, said Tpr. Mark Ritter. The wreck occurred about 1.5 miles east of Houston.
Ritter said Chyenne N. Scheets, 24, and a 2-year-old boy were taken with minor injuries to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The vehicle had extensive damage.
A Houston man received moderate injuries Monday night in an accident about three miles south of Roby on Highway 17.
Sgt. Dale Pounds said a northbound 2012 Dodge Ram truck driven by Shawn A. Jeffers, 24, lost control on an ice-covered curve, traveled off the highway and struck a tree at about 10:45 p.m.
Jeffers was taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital. The vehicle had extensive damage. The Roby Fire Department assisted.
