Deer hunters killed 10,543 deer Friday through Saturday as part of the antlerless portion of the season.

Preliminary data from the Missouri Department of Conservation shows that deer hunters in Missouri harvested 10,543 deer during the antlerless portion of the fall firearms deer season, Dec. 6-8. Top harvest counties were Callaway with 396 deer harvested, Pike with 303 and Osage had 301. The count in Texas County was 99.

Last year’s antlerless-harvest-portion harvest total was 6,645.
