Members of the Texas County Commission met Nov. 20-21 and handled several matters.
Commissioners:
•Reviewed and signed correspondence from Smith & Co. Engineers of Poplar Bluff.
•Met with Pat Fletcher, Juli Jordan and Richard Meyerkord of Senior Age regarding a tax levy to assist seniors in the county.
•Discussed inmate boarding from other areas with Sheriff Scott Lindsey and Jail Administrator Tim Garnica.
•Held a 25-minute telephone conversation and closed session with Don Trotter, special prosecutor, overseeing a criminal case involving the former sheriff of the county, James Sigman, and a former county employee, Jennifer Tomaszewski.
•Met for about an hour in closed session with the Pulaski County sheriff, prosecutor, sheriff and chief deputy.
