Filings open today (Dec. 17) for April’s election.
Locally, three slots on the Houston board of education will be filled. Those three-year terms are currently held by Jo Holland, Christie Koch and Darren Ice.
On the Houston City Council, two-year terms held by Kevin Stilley, Ward I; Charles “Chalky” Wells, Ward II; and Viki Narancich, Ward III, expire.
Filings close 5 p.m. Jan. 21 for these and various city, school board, water district and county boards.
