Grass fire reported south of Houston; another east of town

The Houston Rural Fire Department was called to a grass fire at about 1 p.m. Tuesday at Highway RA and U.S. 63.

At about 2:55 p.m., the department was called to the Big Piney Sportsman’s Club.
