The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•David B. Murphy, 54, of 112 W. Spruce St., Apt. 7, in Houston, was issued a citation for driving without a valid license on Dec. 21.
•William T. Herbert, 33, of 5027 Marquis Road at Summersville, was arrested on Dec. 19 for having an active Callaway County warrant for a probation violation.
An officer made the arrest at the state probation and parole office after being advised Hebert was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $10,000 bond and was released.
•Robert F. Reed, 37, of 1120 S. Sam Houston Blvd. in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield after a two-vehicle accident at Highway 17 and the Big Red Car Wash parking lot at about 7:30 a.m. Dec. 19.
•Brandon J. Brim, 38, of 104 W. Cedar St. in Houston, was issued a citation for fourth-degree domestic assault after an incident involving a 41-year-old woman at his residence on Dec. 7.
•Daniel R. Lastar, 44, of Mountain View, was issued citations for driving while revoked, expired license plates and no insurance after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7.
