A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Thursday night south of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said. 

Tpr. Jacob Sellars said a westbound 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gary L. Riden, 58, of Licking, slowed when approaching machinery near Highway P and a pedestrian, Robert J. Malikowski, 75, of Beulah, entered into the westbound lane and was struck. 

Malikowski was flown by air ambulance to Cox South in Springfield.
