Organizers of "Share Your Christmas" reported 179 had registered at the  beginning of the week. 

There is still time to spread some cheer through the annual Christmas drive that benefits children in Texas County.

Share Your Christmas is headquartered in the Houston Lions Club Den basement on North U.S. 63. Pat Miller, coordinator, said the response has been good, but more help is needed for all participants to receive gifts. She said all sizes of clothing, shoes, toys and household items are needed. 

Miller said 179 children have applied from 59 families. 

Here are additional cases with needs:

11. A 3-year-old boy loves books and Toy Story. He wears size 5T clothing and size 13 shoes. Size 24-month clothing is needed for a 1-year-old girl and size 7 toddler shoes. She likes to play with baby dolls or stuffed animals.

12. Two sisters, ages 9 and 8, would like to get some Barbies or LOL dolls for their Christmas gift. The 9-year-old girl needs size 8 pants, size 10 tops and size 1 shoes. The 8 year old needs size 7 clothing and size 13 shoes. Socks and underwear are also desired for these children.

13. Size 7 pants and shirts are needed for a 7-year-old boy. He also needs a warm coat and size 13 boy’s shoes. His toy wish is Paw Patrol or some play tools.

14. An 11-year-old girl needs a size 14/16 winter coat, as well as some pants and tops. She likes beanie babies and stuffed animals, especially dogs or horses.

15. A 15-year-old boy is much in need of some jeans, size 36X30, and shoes, size 10 in men’s. XL men’s shirts and some socks would also help. He would appreciate any card games or board games.

Churches and organizations that offered assistance this past week include Peace Chapel Church, Nagle Christian Church, the Blue Heaven Club and Houston Lions Club members. 

An Angel Tree is set up at the Houston Walmart Supercenter and has generated activity. Donations are accepted from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Lions Club basement. Cash donations can be mailed to Share Your Christmas, P.O. Box 170, Houston, Mo. 65483.
