A Cabool man faces a pair of felony charges after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of an incident involving a woman on Tuesday (Dec. 17).
James T. Martin, 36, of 1305 Westlane Ave. in Cabool, is charged with second-degree domestic assault and tampering with a victim in a felony prosecution (both class D felonies).
Sheriff Scott Lindsey said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Neville Road in the Cabool area where a woman reported that a man had punched her twice in the face. Upon arrival, the officers observed obvious injuries to her face, Lindsey said, and after medical treatment, it was determined the woman suffered an orbital fracture. (which the victim said was already pre-existing) The suspect – Martin – was located at a different residence and arrested and taken to the Texas County Jail. His bond is set at $150,000.
Martin was convicted of felony domestic assault in July 019.
