The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
•Kelly Hoots, 44, of 501 West St. at Mountain Grove, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting from Walmart on Jan. 10.
•James E. Denny, 42, of Newburg, was cited for driving while revoked on Jan. 4.
•Ronald J. Fleming Jr., 33, of 8191 Morton Road at Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $750 after allegedly shoplifting from Walmart on Jan. 6.
•Ronald L. James, 50, of 116 Ozark Terrace in Houston, was cited for failure to yield right of way after a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 63 at about 4;45 p.m. Jan. 7.
•On. Jan. 7, an officer investigated a report of a counterfeit $100 bill being used at the Sonic restaurant in Houston.
An employee there said the suspect was a man driving a red Bronco and provided the vehicle’s license plate number. A computer check revealed the Bronco belonged to a 22-year-old Houston man. He was contacted and arrested and a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor seeking a forgery charge.
