A Texas County man faces a felony assault charge after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of an incident in Licking on Sunday.
Trevor A. Light, 25, of Licking, is charged with second-degree domestic assault (a class D felony).
Texas County Sheriff Scott Lindsey said deputies responded to a domestic disturbance on Reed Road after a man reported being struck in the face and tackled by a male relative. The suspect was later identified as Trevor Light.
The victim stated that after Light tackled him, he continued to punch him and hit him with car parts strewn about the yard. The victim was transported by ambulance for medical treatment.
Light was arrested and transported to the Texas County Jail, and later charged by assistant county prosecutor Jason MacPherson. He is held on $500,000 bond.
