Law enforcement officers from the Houston Police Department, Texas County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G, Cabool Police Department and Licking Police Department were in attendance and received certificates for their service for Texas County.

Students from Houston Head Start were at the program and recited the Pledge of Allegiance to kick off the festivities. They also designed their own thank you cards to pass out to each member of law enforcement.

“It is truly and honor for the Lions Club to show our appreciation to the men and women of law enforcement,” said Lions Club President Bennie Cook (who is a deputy with the sheriff’s department). “They put their lives on the line daily to protect and serve our communities.”
