Progressive Ozark Bank last week announced that Sandy Howard, senior loan officer of the Houston branch, will retire effective March 5. A celebration of her more than 28-year career with the bank will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Houston branch.
Howard, being part of a military family, worked in different banking positions before settling in Texas County and has served Progressive Ozark Bank as a leader in both production and management during her tenure. She also spent countless hours in community service volunteering from TCMH Hospice Chili Cookoff judge to Salvation Army bell ringing and serving as board member for Success School.
Speaking of her time at Progressive Ozark Bank, Howard said, “I’ve really enjoyed working at the bank; knowing that I have helped so many over the years is so rewarding. But what I’ll miss most are the people; I’ve been very fortunate that so many customers have truly become friends.”
Howard has been working closely with incoming Senior Loan Officer Jason Stone. “I feel Jason is a good fit for the bank and will work well with the customers,” she said.
Howard has plans to spend time with family and some travel upon retirement but is especially looking forward to spending time with her grandson.
