The following are excerpts from just some of the reports recently generated by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department:

•On Jan. 13, a deputy investigated a report of a man pointing a pistol at two other men who were reportedly hunting coyotes in the Summersville area the previous day.

The hunters told the officer they were tracking a hound via a cell phone and the man with the gun had blocked their way on a highway and pointed the pistol at them. They stated that the man lowered it when they explained what they were doing.

The officer made contact with the man with the gun and he reportedly said he thought the other men were looking to steal cattle.

•Marty Ebert, 28, of 10697 Dogwood Road at Mountain Grove, was issued citations for fourth-degree domestic assault and second-degree property damage after allegedly punching a hole in a ceiling and threatening a woman during an incident at his residence on Jan.12.

•While investigating a report of squatters at the Sleepy Hollow Trailer Court on Highway B on Jan. 21, a deputy received information that a man and woman were at the location who each had active felony warrants for possession of a controlled substance.

Dawn D. Lord, 40, and William J. Keller, 34, both of 118 Sackett St. in Licking, were located inside a trailer and arrested. They were taken to jail and held without bond on the capias warrants.
