Three persons were injured Monday, Jan. 6, in a crash about five miles north of Houston, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Three area teenagers were injured Monday night in a crash north of Houston on Highway E.

Tpr. Jason Sentman said a southbound 2007 Chevrolet Aveo driven by Lilly B. Fitzpatrick, 18, of Raymondville, travelled off the right side of Highway E and overcorrected. The vehicle returned to the roadway, went off the left side of the highway and struck an embankment, causing it to overturn.

Fitzpatrick and a passenger, Shakoda K. Swaringim, 17, of Licking, were taken by private vehicle to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. A 15-year-old male, who the patrol did not identify, was also taken by private vehicle to the TCMH. He had minor injuries.

Everyone except Fitzpatrick was wearing a seat belt, said Sentman. The vehicle was totaled.
